Itty-Bitty Disney Princesses Are Brought to Life in Enchanting Photo Shoot
Get ready for cuteness overload.
Mom and maternity photographer Karen Marie has used her love of Disney to create a seriously adorable newborn photo shoot, where she reimagined six classic princesses as real itty-bitty babies.
You see, the Disney princess tales of love and heroism always resonated with Marie, a photographer at Belly Beautiful Portraits in Roseville, California, and so she felt motivated to bring an important part of her childhood into these newborns' lives with a princess-themed photo shoot.
Marie designed each set to reflect a particular movie, and found adorable princess gowns created by Sew Trendy Accessories to complete the looks. The whole thing took eight hours, but was so worth it. "I've had this idea in my head for so long," the mom of three told KCR3. "My staff and the lady who makes the gowns all sort of came together to create this six sets."
Take a look at the sweet photos below:
Baby Sleeping Beauty (what else?) sleeps upon a bed of roses.
Baby Ariel appears in her grotto, cuddling a beloved dinglehopper next to a resting (plush) Flounder.
Little Belle rests surrounded by red roses and a modern take on Mrs. Potts.
Cinderella sleeps atop her pumpkin, while her mouse friends (knitted) prepare to sew.
Jasmine takes a nap while on a magic carpet ride through an endless nighttime sky.
Snow White is surrounded by woodland creatures and flowers for a little nap.
Though Marie admitted working with six babies at a time was "difficult," these portraits are just the beginning of her Disney series. She revealed her plans to photograph additional babies as other princesses such as Tiana, Pocahontas and Moana. "My favorite part about photographing babies is knowing in my heart how much these images will mean to families for generations to come," she told Babble.
